Participou no Cascais Jazz …

Critical Review –
“ Paleka is one of the most charismatic drummers in Portugal. His lengthy career, his special and cohesive way of playing the drums, along with his unique way of maintaining the tempo as well as a consistent beat (groove), make him an example to follow. Having played at Cascais Jazz … at the Seville International Festival with trombonist Kai Winding, one of the Jazz Giants next to Gillespie and Monk … and at the Macao International Festival … Besides Winding he played with Steve Potts, Mike Ross, and Mick Carr.
Along with Rão Kyao, António Pinho Vargas, Zé Eduardo and Maria João, his name has been inscibed as
one of the foremost individuals in Portuguese Jazz.
As a ‘Blues’ man he belonged to the first Portuguese blues band, the “ Go Graal Blues Band ”. Playing with
Rui Veloso … twenty-one years playing alongside Sérgio Godinho, a feat that very few musicians are able to accomplish …
three years sharing the stage and recording albums with Rui Veloso, along with performing
with Carlos do Carmo, Vitorino, Carlos Mendes, Janita Salomé, and Jorge Palma, among others, gives this musician a fine letter of recommendation …”
